On March 31, 2018, the University of Mississippi chapter of Men of Excellence held the first annual Teach, Inspire, Empower (T.I.E.) Conference. The TIEConferencewas an initiative designed for minority males in their junior and senior years of high school and freshman and sophomore years of college who wished to improve their networking, leadership, and academic skills. Through this program, we introduced and practiced the concept of networking as well as modeled the quintessential characteristics of leadership. Participants spent a day on campus attending educational seminars, networking with peers throughout Mississippi, and touring one of the most beautiful campuses in the country.
